Ned earned his Honours Bachelor degree in Human Kinetics in 1976 and a Bachelors in Education in 1977 from the University of Windsor. In 1985, Ned obtained his designations in the life insurance industry and became a financial advisor with the former Mutual Life of Canada (Clarica) now Sun Life Financial.
Shortly after, Ned founded Windsor Benefit Plans. It was the perfect vehicle for him to act on his love for this community. Mentoring entrepreneurs, guiding employers and helping to grow the region’s economy were the foundation upon which Ned conducted business. His legacy is evident every day through the lives he touched and the people he inspired, working together to make our area better.
During his career, Ned received numerous industry awards including Sun Life’s Award of Merit, the annual Quality Business Award, and annual qualifier for the Million Dollar Round Table. He would say his greatest accomplishments however came in building success for people around him. In addition to his work at Windsor Benefit Plans, Ned was actively involved with several charitable organizations in the Windsor – Essex County community.
He cared deeply for the people in this region and strove to make it a better place for all of us. Specifically, Ned’s commitment to his clients was unparalleled. We continue to work by the same principles he instilled at Windsor Benefit Plans. We are proud to honour the tradition and legacy that Ned has left.

Employee Benefits Marketing & Service Administrator
Heather is the Employee Benefits Marketing & Service Administrator and has worked for Ned Colovic since 1998. Heather is specifically responsible for working with small and large companies to assist them with their Employee Benefits and Pension Plan programs. She specializes in benefit plan design and implementation and, importantly, adding cost containment ideas and strategies to support client goals.
Heather has successfully obtained the Group Benefits Associate designation with the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and Dalhousie University.
